Education

 

Through my education at CWU, I have gained confidence, a broad spectrum of knowledge in fashion and written, verbal and presentation skills. Majoring in Apparel, Textiles and Merchandising has allowed me to gain experience in the industry and really grow as a fashion lover. I have learned the ins and outs of the industry, be it design, digital presentations, history of fashion and merchandising. I feel confident in the knowledge I am taking away from my college experience and know I can apply this to my career.  

 

Personal Strengths

 

Now that I have finished my college career, I have noticed a change in my strengths as an individual. These new strengths I have gained are presentation, team building, time management, and writing. With my new personal strengths I can confidently complete tasks on time and efficiently in anything I do in life.

Values I have gained through my educational experience include professionalism; which I show through the work I have accomplished, confidence; by being prepared, hard work; this is reflected through my grades, friendship; gained through teamwork, and creativity; gained from creating visuals and through creative problem solving.

 

Technical knowledge

 

Technical knowledge I have gained is proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, illustrator, InDesign, Microsoft office and excel. I am able to create tech flats/packs, line sheets and mood boards. I have learned excel formulas to use towards buying and merchandising through creating merchandising plans, travel itineraries, GMROI plans, and purchase orders. I have learned how to lasso with precision and create appealing visuals on Photoshop.
